The Climate Change minor draws on multiple courses exploring the science of climate change as well as the multitude of impacts ranging from farming and food production, water availability, ocean acidification to the potential of sustainable energy to replace fossil fuels, as well as the policy decisions governments are making. Students learn about climate change and how to understand and forecast its potential impacts from varied disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, while getting a firm grounding in the basic physical, ecological and social sciences.
