The ORD team supports all Texas A&M College of Arts & Sciences faculty in developing proposals for federal and foundational funding opportunities and supports graduate students and postdoctoral scholars pursuing fellowship opportunities. Consultation should be sought early in the proposal development process, as projects are taken on first-come-first-serve basis. The College of Arts & Sciences ORD commonly works collaboratively with their counterparts from other colleges, as well as the University Division of Research and the System-level Research Development Office. Services provided by the college ORD are complementary to pre-award services provided by SRS. Information about IDC waiver request, letters of support, etc. can be found on the intranet.
The level of support provided by the ORD and timeline/expectations are agreed upon prior to work commencing. Requests for red team (i.e., external) review must be made in writing to the Associate Dean for Research.

Single PI Proposals

The ORD team supports individual PIs, including APT faculty, in development of proposals. The personalized attention provided by the team can be especially helpful to junior faculty. When available, examples of prior successful proposals for specific funding opportunities can be provided.
Multi-PI Proposals, Including Center Proposals

The ORD team supports proposals which have 2+ PI/co-PIs, provided that the lead PI is faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences. The ORD team can help establish timelines for writing and supporting documents and help establish a common voice throughout the proposal. The team can also organize and host team meetings and work across colleges.
Graduate and Postdoctoral Fellowships

The ORD team helps current students and postdoctoral scholars develop fellowship proposals to federal and foundation funding opportunities. Contact the office for more information about programs targeting specifical solicitations (e.g., NSF GRFP, NDSEG, NIH K99).
