The Department of Communication has a well-established Honors plan.  Exceptional undergraduate students who graduate with Honors in Communication will receive the Communication Honors distinction on their official A&M transcript, be recognized at a University-wide honors recognition ceremony, and receive an honors medallion to wear at commencement.

Benefits of Communication Honors include

  • Enjoy engaging and compelling approaches to course content.
  • Participate in a variety of honors course arrangements, ranging from small classes that feature seminar-style learning, to embedded honors sections within regular courses, to the option of customizing learning through course contracting.
  • Take at least six honors courses from Honors faculty members.
  • Get to know professors, which is essential for students who need letters of recommendation for internships, scholarships, and applications to graduate school, professional school or law school.
  • Benefit from early registration privileges.
