Dean's Advisory Committees

The DAC-TT committee advises the Dean on the college-level review of promotion cases of all tenure-track/tenured faculty. In spring semesters, the DAC-TT will also advise the Dean on midterm review cases for tenure-track assistant professors, as well as tenure on arrival cases for new faculty hires.

The DAC-APT committee is responsible for advising the Dean on the college-level review of promotion cases of all academic professional track faculty.

Faculty Affairs Councils

The FAC-TT committee provides feedback to the faculty affairs, equity & inclusion team, and assists in the development and revision of college guidelines related to tenured-track/tenured faculty hiring, evaluation, promotion, workload, professional development, and awards. The committee also reviews applications for several college-level faculty awards (for tenure-track/tenured faculty).

Other Committees

The RAC serves as a conduit of research-related information between the TAMU Office of Faculty Affairs, Vice President for Research, College of Arts and Sciences, departments, tenured and tenure-track faculty, and staff; will provide advice and feedback to the dean's office regarding research; will review Faculty Development Leave requests; will review TAMU internal research award

The GIC provides oversight and approval for curricular changes related to graduate education, offers feedback on college-level policy, and coordinates with the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies to maintain effective communication with the Graduate Operations Committee and Graduate and Professional Council.

The UIC provides oversight and approval for curricular changes related to undergraduate education, offers feedback on college-level policies, and coordinates with the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education to maintain effective communication with the Academic Operations Committee and the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee.
